FAQ

Bleeper's FAQ

This page addresses common questions related to their bike-sharing services, covering topics such as parking, payments, safety, private schemes, and terms and conditions.

Parking:

  • Proper Locking: To secure a Bleeper bike, park it next to an approved bike rack within the operating zone, wrap the black chain around the rack, and insert the lock bolt through the chain loop. The lock will beep to confirm it's secured. Then, tap 'End Trip' in the app and upload a photo of the parked bike.

  • Temporary Stops: When making short stops, always lock the bike using 'Pit-Stop' mode to ensure it's reserved for you upon return.

  • Approved Parking Locations: Bleeper bikes must be parked at public Sheffield Bike Racks within the operating zone. Parking at DublinBikes docking stations or on private property is prohibited.

Payment:

  • Rejected Payments: Common reasons for payment rejections include insufficient funds, expired cards, or incorrect payment details. Ensure your payment information is up-to-date and that you have adequate funds.

Safety:

  • Reporting Issues: If you spot a Bleeper bike parked incorrectly, vandalized, or restricted to personal use, take a photo showing the bike's number and surroundings, and report it through the 'Contact Us' section in the Bleeper app.

  • Lost and Found: For lost possessions or found items on a Bleeper bike, it's advised to report them to the police.

Private Schemes:

  • Overview: Bleeper's 'My Private Scheme' offers bike-sharing solutions for corporates, hotels, business parks, residential developments, and other entities requiring a private fleet of standard or electric bikes.

  • Bike Options: Participants can choose between standard pedal bikes or electric bikes, or a combination of both.

  • Minimum Commitment: The scheme requires a minimum of 5 bikes on a 12-month contract.

  • Services Included: The package offers monthly maintenance, public liability insurance, quarterly reports, dedicated customer service, and access to Bleeper’s public bikes.

  • Access to Public Bikes: Members of the private scheme can use Bleeper’s public bikes at a rate of €1 per hour. Both private and public bikes are visible within the Bleeper app.

  • Customer Support: Services include infographic user guides, marketing assistance, a dedicated corporate webpage, in-house demonstrations, and customer support via phone and email.

  • Cost: Standard bikes are available at €98 per month (excluding VAT), and electric bikes at €148 per month (excluding VAT), with a minimum of 5 bikes per 12-month contract.

  • Insurance: All private scheme bikes come with public and product liability insurance, similar to Bleeper’s public bikes.

  • Benefits: The scheme offers advantages like cost and time savings, no parking or traffic congestion issues, improved health and morale, and contributes to Dublin's goal of becoming carbon neutral by 2050.
